Former Healey Deputy Director Granted Bail

A former employee in Governor Maura Healey's office who is facing drug trafficking charges is being granted bail.

A Hampden County judge has set the bail for Lamar Cook at 75-thousand-dollars and ordered him to surrender his passport.

Cook was arrested last month after authorities connected him to packages of cocaine that were being sent to Hotel U-Mass.

At the time, Cook served as Deputy Director to Governor Healey's Western Mass office.
