Number of Deadly Pedestrian Crashes In Mass Increase

The number of pedestrians killed by vehicle strikes on Massachusetts roads increased by 16 percent in 2024.

New data shows that 78 pedestrians were killed on state roads and highways last year.

The state's increase is not part of a national trend, as the number of deadly pedestrian strikes across the country last year were down by more than four percent.
