A small plane made an emergency landing on Black Beach in West Falmouth Thursday afternoon.
Police say the Cessna 170 was returning to Falmouth from Northampton Airport when the pilot ran out of fuel and landed on the beach.
The pilot was not injured, there was no damage to the aircraft and no apparent environmental impact.
The FAA is investigating the incident.
