Harvard University professors are calling on leadership to protect the school's "key values."
Nine Harvard professors sent a letter outlining values that should be kept in mind as university officials work toward a deal with President Trump.
The professors want hiring and admissions protection; classroom content determined by professors; any financial settlement to fund programs that align with the university; and to ensure the government gets no control of who leads the university.
The letter comes as Harvard engages in a lawsuit with the Trump administration, which has withheld billions in federal funding to the school.
