Canadian wildfires are causing unhealthy air quality levels in the U.S.
States like North Dakota, Montana and Minnesota are being impacted according to the Environmental Protection Agency's AirNow page.
The fires have caused more than 25-thousand people have been evacuated across Manitoba, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
Firefighters from Alaska, Oregon and Arizona have traveled to Canada to help fire fighting efforts.
Meantime, the jet stream is likely to carry smoke currently over the Great Lakes and Midwest to the east.
The smoke could arrive here by midweek. Poor air quality can affect the health of people with respiratory conditions, lung and heart disease.
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe expressed gratitude for the assistance and emphasized the need for a change in weather patterns to help control the fires.
