Fed Orders All Embassies To Begin Additional Vetting For Harvard Visas

U.S. embassies and consulates are being ordered to start additional vetting for anyone seeking a visa to travel to Harvard.

The State Department issued the order on Friday.

It comes as the Trump administration has launched a number of punitive measures against the Ivy League school for what it says is an atmosphere of antisemitism.

The vetting includes a complete screening of the person's "online presence" and will serve as test pilot for expanded social media screening.

It comes after a federal judge blocked the White House on Thursday from enforcing a ban on international students at Harvard.
