Red Sox Manager Gets Contract Extension

The Red Sox are rewarding their manager with a new contract.

Boston has signed Alex Cora to a three-year contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 2027 season.

The new deal is reportedly worth a total of 21.75-million dollars and will make him the second highest-paid manager in MLB.

Cora managed the Red Sox to the 2018 World Series title and is currently in his sixth overall season leading the team.

The 48-year-old's deal was set to expire at the end of this season.
