Healey Vows To Protect Democracy Through Textbooks

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey says textbook publishers must resist what she describes as political censorship.

Healey and nine other Democratic governors signed a letter urging publishers to hold the line on democracy.

They also say they will work with school districts to purchase textbooks which include comprehensive and accurate educational information.

The letter is a response to efforts in some states to censor educational material in textbooks.
