Skyline Chili was selected as the best regional fast food restaurant in the United States during USA TODAY's 10Best 2025 Awards on Wednesday (July 16).
The Cincinnati-based chain topped the annual regional fast food restaurants list for the second consecutive year.
"This chain of Cincinnati-style chili eateries started up in Ohio over 75 years ago but has spread over time to a few neighboring areas (and the not-so-neighboring Florida). While you'll certainly find its namesake on the menu — a meat-based sauce served over a plate of spaghetti topped with tons of cheddar cheese — they also serve hot dogs, salads, wraps, burritos, and chili bowls. They even have a few vegetarian-specific menu items," USA TODAY wrote.
The North Carolina-based Biscuitville ranked second, followed by the Missouri-based Lion's Choice, the Georgia-based Farm Burger and the Nebraska-based Runza. USA TODAY's full list of America's top 10 regional fast food restaurants is included below:

USA TODAY's 10Best editors worked alongside a panel of experts to nominate their picks, which were then selected by readers in a vote to determine the winners. Del Taco was selected as the best fast food restaurant for the second consecutive year and Habit Burger & Grill was selected as the best fast casual restaurant.
